Lindhurst Engineering is based on Midland Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield and is very much a family business, made up from representatives of two families covering three generations. It was founded in 1985 and they currently employ 43 people.

Lindhurst Engineering fabricate high integrity mechanical components, design & build of bespoke process machinery, site Installations, micro anaerobic digestion technology.

CEO Martin Rigley says “No two days are the same at Lindhurst Engineering, we operate a high mix, low volume production facility, this makes the pace very fast and always present opportunities and challenges on a daily basis. Be they technical, financial, customer or people related they all present their unique challenges”

Lindhusrt Engineering designed and built the automation systems for the Millenium Dome central show in 1999. CEO Martin Rigley was awarded an MBE for services to Business & Innovation in 2016 New Years honours list, he said “for a kid who was not particularly academic but who loved taking things apart and building things this was a very poignant moment”

Lindhurst Engineering were a runner up in the Shell Spring Board Awards 2014, Innovate UK Runner Up Best of Best Engineering Awards 2014, Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 Innovation in Design Awards 2018, Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 Special Recognition Award 2017.
